Job Description:

Position Summary

This position is responsible for leading and executing strategies to integrate and streamline retail systems, process, and channels as well as coordinating integration across COEs.  This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, supply chain, marketing, merchandising, sales, and HR, to create a cohesive and optimized transition. 

Here's what you’ll do:

  • Collaborates with the leadership team to develop and implement long range strategies to ensure that stores are meeting or exceeding their forecasted sales and operations plans.
  • Oversees the Retail Merchandising teams to ensure we are meeting and adhering to all Merchandising and Marketing directives with oversight of store operations.
  • Oversees the Retail Merchandising teams to ensure we are meeting and adhering to all People and Food safety regulatory processes and procedures with oversight of store operations.
  • Lead change management efforts for a successful implementation and coordinate enablement with COE’s across the organization.
  • Develop project integration and transition plans, document processes and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure teams receive adequate training on processes and procedures and provide ongoing support.  Coordinate training across all functions for new processes and procedures.
  • Act as a key liaison between retail merchandising and COEs to ensure alignment and successful implementation of integration projects.
  • Utilizes reporting to determine trends, strengths and opportunities and makes recommendations based on that data.
  • Proactively monitors external factors and rules that may affect the company. Uses knowledge to plan work and guide decision making.
  • Travel to all store locations on a rotating basis will be required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Business or related area or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. 
  • Ten years retail experience to include five years of experience with retail operations. 
  • Five years of experience in a supervisory/management role. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong negotiation and influencing skills. Ability to effectively manage internal and external business relationships and work collaboratively.  
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, project management, analytical and decision-making skills.  
  • Strong leadership and financial/business acumen skills.  
  • Demonstrated knowledge of merchandising and procurement principles and skills, and in-depth knowledge of produce/floral merchandising.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required; Access experience preferred.  
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
