Job Summary
The Senior Database Administrator will be a key player in building a modern data pipeline to ingest, process, transform, and model data into the Language Services data lake. This role demands a top-tier professional with expertise in designing and maintaining database management systems, data architecture, data modeling, and data quality. The successful candidate will work closely with the Data Architect offering expertise in the design of the data warehouse structure. Experience developing data warehouses and integrating data from multiple systems is vital. The position may require the use of a combination of Sql-Server Management Studio, Python, PySpark, SQL Services Integration Services (SS(S), Azure Data Factory (ADF)s, and Snowflake.
Deliver upon the technology road map in alignment with Language Services leadership to improve the underlying costs and capabilities of the AMN Language Services portfolio
Adherence to coding policies, technical documentation and operational discipline as defined by software development policies
Excellent communication skills for team leadership, software release documentation, client response and leadership team updates
Responsibilities include involvement in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (i.e. Agile/Scrum) including technical requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, code deployment, and production support
Responsible for risk identification and risk mitigation strategies associated with the software including alignment to AMN Information Security policies and procedures
Participant in on-call process and events during event escalations for application downtime and degraded performance
Share knowledge and skills across the team through mentorship, coaching, and training of junior staff on integration methodologies
Database Design and Management
Participate in architecture discussions, design sessions, and fully understand data requirements as provided by the Data Architect
Work independently to carry out the development of the data warehouse based on the requirements using PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Snowflake, Python, PySpark, Azure Data Factory and SSIS.
Implement best practices for database performance tuning, indexing, and data partitioning
Ensure data consistency and integrity
ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)
Develop, implement, and maintain robust ETL processes using tools such as Python, PySpark, SSIS, and ADF to ensure seamless data integration across various systems
Develop data warehouse structure based on the requirements provided by the Data Architect
Identify and resolve data quality issues during ETL processes
Monitor ETL job performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflows for efficiency
Implement security measures to ensure protected information is secured at rest
Salesforce Integration
Work closely with Salesforce administrators and developers to design and implement data integration solutions between Salesforce and other systems
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data transferred between Salesforce and other databases
Provide expertise to assist in Salesforce data modeling and architecture
SQL Expertise
Utilize advanced SQL skills to create complex queries, stored procedures, functions and triggers for data analysis and reporting
Optimize SQL queries for performance and resource utilization
Snowflake Data Management
Leverage the capabilities of the Snowflake data platform to architect and implement scalable and efficient data solutions
Utilize Snowflake features for data warehousing, such as virtual warehouses, clusters, and multi-cluster warehouses to optimize query performance
Stay informed about the latest features and functionalities of Snowflake, exploring and applying innovative solutions to enhance data processing and analytics
Python
Successfully build ETL pipelines using Python
Leverage the Python relevant frameworks and libraries, such as workflow management utilities and libraries for accessing and extracting data
Power BI Integration
Collaborate with business analysts to understand reporting requirements and design effective Power BI data models
Integrate Power BI solutions with other data sources and ensure optimal performance
Key Skills

Qualifications
Education & Years of Experience
Bachelor's Degree plus 7-10 years of work experience OR High School Diploma/GED plus 11-14 years of work experience
Certifications in relevant technologies, such as Snowflake, Python, PySpark, Sql-Server, SSIS, and Power BI
Experience with cloud platforms, such as Azure and AWS
Knowledge of best practices in data governance and compliance
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
Work is performed in an office/home office environment.
