Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Director of Therapy Services to join our team. This dynamic leader will split their time between providing exceptional patient care, while also providing clinical leadership to our therapists and organization.  This person will work collaboratively with the Executive Leadership Team, and particularly the Chief Medical Officer, to further develop Geode’s cutting edge clinical programming.   

 

Key Responsibilities:  

 

Direct patient care This person will spend 21 hours/week providing exceptional patient care, including the clinical responsibilities below, along with 3 hours/week on administrative tasks related to patient care:  

  • Provide direct therapeutic services to a diverse caseload of clients, utilizing evidence-based practices. 

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions. 

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions and treatment plans. 

  • Collaborate with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care. 

  • Participate in case consultations and peer supervision to continually enhance clinical skills and knowledge. 

 

LeadershipThis person will spend 16 hours/week on managerial and leadership activities.  As part of this role, this person will:    

  • Lead and mentor a team of therapists, providing oversight, guidance and support 

  • Lead the organization and therapy providers to optimize their experience, fulfilment and impact  

  • Assist in overseeing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. 

  • In partnership with the CMO, contribute to the clinical and quality enhancement of existing services as well as developing new services 

  • Serve on the Quality Improvement Committee 

  • Serve on the Credentialing Committee 

  • Provide ad hoc reviews of clinical events as needed 

  • Collaborate with the CMO and partnership development team to cultivate new and strengthen existing referral relationships.   

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and best practices including, but not limited to, documentation consistency, treatment plan generation/standardization and urgent/emergent care management strategies 

  • Serve as a key voice to the Executive Leadership Team, offering insights and recommendations on clinical initiatives. 

  • Facilitate regular team meetings and case reviews to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment. 

  • Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes, using data to drive continuous improvement and quality assurance. 

 

Qualifications : 

  • Master’s degree in therapy, social work, or a related field (required). 

  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology (preferred). 

  • Current licensure to practice as a therapist in the state of [State] (required). 

  • Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience in an outpatient mental health setting. 

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with a track record of effectively managing and mentoring clinical staff. 

  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices and clinical protocols. 

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to clients. 

 

 

Working Conditions: 

  • Standard office environment with occasional travel to client locations 

  • May involve evening or weekend hours to accommodate client schedules 

  • Potential exposure to stressful situations and emergency scenarios 

 

Physical Requirements:  

  • Ability to sit for 3-4 hours at a time between patient care and documentation 

  • Fine finger coordination required for typing, pressing objects such as utilizing laptop/mouse for documentation purposes 

  • Ability to speak clearly with patients and team members so others can understand.  

  • Ability to hear and understand others when speaking  

  • Ability to view computer screen monitor, small objects few feet away  

  • Ability to act and move quickly in emergency situations involving patient care
