The Opportunity

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Enterprise Managed Growth team. This role will lead a high-performing team that builds new products and capabilities for our Enterprise customers, working cross-functionally with our Sales, Marketing, Product, and Design departments.

Grammarly’s engineers and researchers have the freedom to innovate and uncover breakthroughs—and, in turn, influence our product roadmap. The complexity of our technical challenges is growing rapidly as we scale our interfaces, algorithms, and infrastructure. You can hear more from our team on our technical blog.

As an Engineering Manager for the Enterprise Managed Growth team, you will drive the development of innovative analytics products that demonstrate the value of Grammarly to enterprise customers. Leading a team of talented engineers, you will trailblaze new capabilities, shape product vision, and deliver solutions that enhance user experience and provide actionable insights.

In this role, you will:

  • Build new products for Enterprise customers.
  • Collaborate with our Sales, Marketing, and Support teams to build our Enterprise customer base.
  • Build a strong team of engineers with the right balance of technical skills.
  • Bring clarity to ambiguous product areas and help define a long-term strategy for the team.
  • Directly contribute to company goals.

Qualifications

  • Has 4+ years of managing high-performing engineering teams with a track record of shipping measurable impact and value to customers.
  • Has a background and skills in building data products and is familiar with SQL, Spark, and other BigData processing frameworks, as well as experience in visualizing data.
  • Has examples of collaborating directly with design and product teams to iterate on ideas and develop roadmaps.
  • Has worked on products with a high level of ambiguity - building zero-to-one products or MVPs to validate ideas and turn them into successful products or features.
  • Embodies our EAGER values—is ethical, adaptable, gritty, empathetic, and remarkable.
  • Is inspired by our MOVE principles: move fast and learn faster; obsess about creating customer value; value impact over activity; and embrace healthy disagreement rooted in trust.
  • Is able to meet in person for their team’s scheduled collaboration weeks, traveling if necessary to the hub where their team is based.
