Responsibilities and Duties include, but not limited to: 

 

Lead FE Engineering Technical Development Council  

  • Work with Engineering council champions at each FE site to setup strategies for TLP pipeline development and preparation of TLP members. 

  • Partner with TLP office to align FE improvement activities with corporate TLP direction. 

  • Partner with OCT WFD on integration to FETA program on skills based on training for TLP requirements. 

  • Chair monthly meetings including preparation of information, management of actions and monitoring of network progress to TLP goals.   

  • Develop and implement technical talent acceleration programs with the FE sites. 

  • Develop enhancements, new programs from POC to network fanout to improve TLP development. 

  • Establish monthly area/site technical seminars and then sustain with area/site champion. 

  • Utilize and leverage FETA (Front End Technical Academy) and DSP (Deviation Specialist Program) as opportunities for pipeline fast tracking, participate in program steering teams to establish strategies for TLP pipeline development and integration. 

Lead Monthly OCT / CPIE Technical Forum: 

  • Schedule and coordinate presentation topics from OCT and CPIE dept representatives to share innovations and learning across the central engineering teams. 

  • Facilitate meeting, recording, documentation to SharePoint. 

  • Coordinate voting of presentations, notify presenters on results of voting, and publicize the innovations shared to the PROCT and CPIE teams. 

FE Network Innovation Management: 

  • Monthly update progress of submissions pending and awards achieved for the Front Eng MFG teams.  

  • Analyze trends to identify opportunities and drive improvements in awards. 

  • Drive reviews with Engineering councils of new submissions from submission to decision. 

TLP Mentoring Program: 

  • Manage FE technical talent participation in TLP mentoring program, program is executed annually to pair technical mentor and mentees. 

  • Communicate new registration, coach new TMs on participation in the program. 

  • Work with OCT TM’s and FE MFG TLP TMs to complete registration. 

  • Complete Mentor/Mentee pairings at each site, by confirming Mentor availability and paring based on mentee area of interest.    

  • Analyze pairings to optimize based on technical expertise to further develop expertise in needed areas and report monthly on program participation. 

 

 

TLP Publication Management: 

  • Report monthly total Publications by Site, Department (publications from TLP seminars, OCT / CPIE Technical Forum, TLP journal, DSP Projects, FETA Projects) 

  • Attend technical seminars (remote) and work with site TLP chairs to ensure items are reviewed for Innovation Award/Patent. 

  • Integrate new forums where peer review opportunities for TLP publishing when available.   

SMART Program Management 

  • Coordinate review of new project proposals with global Engineering council – tie off with submitter on new projects monthly to ensure clear proposal and requested resources. 

  • Report on program overall project status monthly – number complete, number in progress, number closed, benefits achieved in closure, participation trends. 

  • Kickoff with new SMART Task Force Teams teams assigned and coach SMART TFT teams on closure.   

  • Drive innovation sharing in appropriate forums based on Innovations at project closure. 

  • Review TLP and E5 potential TLP projects progress / issues with TM and assigned mentor. 

 

External Publications and Conferences 

  • Manage PubReview process for FE Operations – new submissions, report on trends. 

  • Manage External conference participation – work with TD on conferences, sites/departments on TMs planned to attend, reporting from participations on learning from participation (white papers). 

 

Leadership: 

  • Active coaching and leadership of projects. Ensure activities are well coordinated and productive. 

  • Create strong morale and team spirit, shares wins and successes, foster open dialog, acknowledges team dynamics, builds on positive relationships, and addresses negative ones. 

  • Work with the Fab groups and the Central Team to drive passion, and exposure to opportunities to develop technical talent. 

 

Communication 

  • Report bi-weekly on status and progress for all FE TLP program activityKeep stakeholders and team members informed of project status, progress, and roadblocks/opportunities. 

  • Regularly maintain alignment on alignment activity direction with site Engineering Councils 

  • Maintain a strong and open relationship within appropriate team members in other functional areas such as Process Integration Engineering, Quality Systems, Production Operations Management, and Purchasing. 

  • Promote worldwide sharing and transfer of BKMs for alignment. 

  • Communicate and respond to issues in a timely manner, with a cadence appropriate to the priority of the issue. 

 

Training and Development 

  • Keep up to date on current Fab manufacturing processing for both R and D and manufacturing and current industry technical talent development programs. 

  • Hold self and others accountable for meeting goals and action items from projects, meetings and conversations. 

  • Set personal development and performance goals that are clear, measurable and in line with department and corporate goals. 

  • Utilize coaches/mentors to develop skills needed to take next steps in your career progression. 

  • Organize and utilize time and resources effectively. 

  • Display self-motivation/initiative to complete work, training, or projects. 

 

Safety 

  • Maintain knowledge of equipment and area materials safety concerns  

 

Qualifications and Skills include, but not limited to:

Education  

  • Required - Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or related field 

 

Experience  

  • 5 years’ experience in technical engineering, management or leadership preferred. 

  • Good English skills and the ability to lead and coordinate area teams within their site desired. 

  • Comfort around higher management, a proven ability to partner in a global environment, excellent organization and communication skills, capability in continuous improvement processes, a background in project and program management, Learning and Development terrain knowledge.
