Purpose: Applies extensive and diversified knowledge of electronic principles and practices in a broad range of assignments and related fields. Makes decisions regarding engineering problems and methods. Responsible for the engineering and quality assurance of part of a major project or for a complete small project. Works in most of the activities with instructions about the general results that are expected. Can receive technical orientation in the most unusual or complex problems; generates solutions in an independent manner. Works with problems of different reaches, in which the analysis of the data requires the evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises his/her judgment in practices and policies generally defined, at selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results. Failures and errors in the decisions he/she takes and recommendations that he/she makes could result in serious delays in the programs and projects, as well as in considerable spending of resources. Able to supervise, develop and provide direction to engineers and technicians.

You will be responsible for:

In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

• Reviews and analyzes complex task statements, standards, specifications, engineering drawings and other documentation to determine engineering requirements.
• May direct preparation of milestone charts, manpower and material estimate inputs, and related material needed to define program schedules and Prepares reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Responsible for assuring that the generation, release, and maintenance of documentation is in accordance.
• Designs complex mechanical, electronic, and electrical assemblies and systems using typical components.
• Provides technical expertise and assistance to assigned engineers, drafters, and technicians.
• Reviews proposed designs and test plans for conformance with task and contract requirements.
• Analyzes test data for accuracy and consistency.
• May inspect, certify, and evaluate onsite operational systems and Establishes test plans and guides technicians in the collection of test data in a form suitable for analysis.
• Determines appropriate test criteria and procedures and analyzes data comparing against specified and computed values, making changes and improvements where needed.

• Responsible for the purchasing or design of equipment that complies with the standards fixed by the Company in regards of performance and in areas of health, safety, and environment.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• University / bachelor’s degree or equivalent, Engineering, any specialty.
• Masters in science and/or certification is recommended.
• Generally, Requires 6-8 Years Work Experience o Six Sigma certified, preferably.
• Experience in the Medical Device industry or medical field, preferably
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices, and procedures
• Knowledge of specific business practices and software and software applications
• Experience using medical device equipment, preferably.
• Able to enter data on spread sheet and database applications. o Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele base.
• Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers and the public.
• Ability to perform duties in accordance with policies and procedures and in to comply civil rights requirements.
• Experience leading projects that involve 2 or more workstreams, using any project management methodology.
• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and documentation, preferably in the medical industry.
• Experiment design.
• Knowledge in statistical analysis tools.
• Management of statistical procedures.
• Knowledge of computer programs.
• Oral and written communication in Spanish
• Knowledge of productive processes.
