Summary :

The Supervisor, Materials Management oversees the day-to-day operations of the purchasing team and ensures effective department operations. Maintains and enhances interpersonal relationships with team members, patients, and visitors.

Job Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Oversees ThedaCare supply procurement processes including purchasing, inventory management, and product standardization.

• Participates in interdepartmental quality assurance processes such as tracking/monitoring, resolution for product evaluations, and conversions.

• Performs and generates statistical data of product inventory to assist in the development of improving efficiency and cost containment measures.

• Collaborates and coordinates with clinical and ancillary team members about product information on new items and backorders and product substitutions.

• Supervises team members.

• Organizes and supervises daily operations, workflows, future planning, and payroll.

• Ensures quality and safety measures are in place.

• Manages department costs and metrics, and proactively creates savings plans to achieve departmental goals.

• Creates and manages multiple projects as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate’s degree

• Two years of leadership experience including leading work teams and projects

• Three years of warehouse, stockroom, or supply chain experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance Missing blood comment

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Climate controlled office setting with daily movement throughout the hospital campus

• Interaction with department members and other healthcare providers.
