Job Summary

Reporting to the Directo Information Technology, this position is responsible for effective management for Network technical staff, identification and assessment of business needs relative to implementation of technology, coordination and project management for technical projects, implementations, maintenance, and development of industry-standard technical protocols and procedures. Additional responsibilities include ensuring reliable network connectivity solutions, data transport and storage, capacity planning, client accessibility, change management, staff development, functional cross-training, and team building. Position will serves as technical liaison between CHOC, SJO, SJHS, and Mission for network issues. Promotes and facilitates a teamwork enviornment at all times. Administrative responsibilites include development and management of capital and operating budgets, staffing , productivity, performance reviews and quality customer service, education and team leadership.

Pay Range

Minimum $118,976 Midpoint $157,664 Maximum $196,352

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience Minimum Required: 5 years experience with multiple network infrastructure technologies/tools, & with Novell & Windows servers/OS; 5 years supervisory experience & managing multiple projects. Experience Preferred Desired: 8 years experience with firewalls, UPS systems, wireless & remote access, Zenworks, GroupWise, Citrix, 3+ years in healthcare network environment & with large scale projects. Education Description: Education Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field - or equivalent experience. Education Desired Preferred: Master's degree. Training Description: Training Minimum Required: Network design & technologies, network management, project management, personnel management, finance & budgeting. Training Desired Preferred: Emerging technologies. PMP Certified, Novell Certified Netware Enginee4r (CNE) Cisico Certified,Network Associate, Novell Advanced System Administration, Novell NDS, Microsoft TCPIP, DNS, DHCP, Windows 95-2000, Windows NT Desktop Server, Zenworks Administration. Special Skills Description: Special Skills Minimum Required: Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards; care with sensitivity and respect; advance care throught development of new ideas and technology. Special Skills Desired Preferred: Experience with the Joint Commission, HIPAA & security related network initiatives, Disaster Recovery, PACs & with clinical, financial & business health care systems such as as Cerner, Lawson and SMS.
