Your Impact

The Consultant-Merchandising Operations supports the run the business work within a key functional area of Merchandising Operations. The Consultant will support the Manager of the area by informally leading the Sr. Analysts and Analysts on day-to-day processes. The Consultant will coordinate with the Manager and other leaders on projects and initiatives and may take a lead role on issues impacting their line of business. The position will also help drive improvement of merchandising and vendor processes and efficiencies. Key functional areas include Vendor/Item Onboarding, Reporting, Operational Services, Vendor Compliance, Product Content, Data Governance and Tech Enablement. Responsibilities may vary based on the area of work.

What You Will Do
  • Analytics- Handle interpretation, higher level analysis, storytelling of data. Consumer - utilizing segmentation. Utilize internal and external facing applications, Microsoft data analytics tools. Support team with DACI/IT projects.
  • Building Relationships- Promote cooperation and teamwork with the analysts and sr analysts; strong interpersonal skills; establish and maintain trust and credibility with leaders and team.
  • Communication- Review communications under the guidance of the Manager. Liaison with GMMs as directed.
  • Issue Resolution-Handles medium/high complex issues and works to identify root causes.
  • Training/Development-Works with team and manager to drive both new hire and ongoing development. Partner with manager on gap analysis.
  • Reporting-Gathers and analyzes data and helps translate date into action and insights.
  • Process Improvement- Assists manager with driving process improvement and streamlining, along with root cause analysis. Monitors status of processes.
  • Technology Requirements- Gather customer data; input; prioritizes; customer data; partnership with tech/stakeholders.
  • Project Management-Provide customer feedback, manage project timelines with own projects.
  • Liaison with international partners on more complex issues.
  • Merchandising & Vendor Engagement- Ensures positive engagement level; influence into segmentation; trusted partner (merchant & vendor).

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
  • 5 years Relevant Business Experience
  • 3 Years General work experience
  • Experience in structuring and writing formal documents, developing and delivering group presentations, project planning, and/or cross-functional collaboration

Preferred Skills/Education
  • 1 year Leadership Experience
  • Experience in Microsoft products (Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and relational business software
