1. Project Management

  • Liaison between ORM, business and IT / vendors and manage project deliverables.
  • Monitor and track project budget and resource utilization
  • Proactively seek for resolution for project issues

2. Business Analyst and Support

  • Translating regulatory and business requirement into system logic / rules for system’s development
  • First level support, liaison between ORM, business and IT / vendors on system issues, monitor for timely resolution.
  • Manage system enhancements
  • Supporting, as required by the Head, Operational Risk Management

3. Management and regulatory reporting

  • Prepare Operational Risk dashboard for the relevant board and management committees
  • Facilitate Loss Event Reporting (LER) and Key Risk Indicators (KRI) submission into BNM ORION system
  • Follow up and track outstanding LERs.

4. Business proposal and processes review

  • Assess operational controls and risk mitigation plans for business proposals and processes, advise business units for improvement.

5. Policy and SOP development and review

  • Develop and implement Operational Risk policies and SOPs
  • Review policies and SOPs submitted by business or supporting units

6. Outsourcing review

  • Review and provide feedback for outsourcing proposals, business’ risk assessments and outsourcing documentations
  • Perform independent risk assessment of the outsourcing process and report the outcome to the relevant committees.

7. RCSA and Control Testing

  • Participate in RCSA review and control testing

8. Others

  • Provide training and education to business / support units on Operational Risk, including development of e-Learning materials
  • Participate in Scenario Analysis
  • Secretariat support for risk committee
