Role Summary:

As a Supply Chain Planning Analyst, you will be part of the global team responsible for the Manufacturing Parts Nodes (MPN) Network replenishment plan, system inputs and parameters, and network optimisation to drive availability, cost, and turns. This is an end-to-end supply chain improvement role focused on strategic projects to enhance the MPN Network.

 

Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Working effectively with diverse, multi-functional teams to execute the supply chain planning process and lead efforts to optimise Global Supply Plan (GSP) network planning parameters
  • Gathering and analysing large amounts of data using tools such as advanced Excel, PowerBI, and/or SQL
  • Developing processes and tools to streamline supply chain efforts such as supplier schedule collaboration, surplus inventory management, customer order prioritisation, bill of distribution optimisation, etc.
  • Conceptualising and/or developing data analytics dashboards
  • Detail root cause analysis of complex problems

Skill Descriptors

Business Process Improvement: Knowledge of business process improvement best practices and ability to use methods for identifying, evaluating, introducing and implementing more efficient approaches to performing business related activities.

 Level Working Knowledge:

• Gathers data for use in the analysis of business processes.

• Illustrates problems, opportunities and methods for improving existing business processes.

• Suggests ways to reduce variation and/or waste in processes.

• Helps evaluate what factors should be addressed in the change program.

• Participates in requirements analysis for process changes.

Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

 Level Working Knowledge:

• Approaches a situation or problem by defining the problem or issue and determining its significance.

• Makes a systematic comparison of two or more alternative solutions.

• Uses flow charts, Pareto charts, fish diagrams, etc. to disclose meaningful data patterns.

• Identifies the major forces, events and people impacting and impacted by the situation at hand.

• Uses logic and intuition to make inferences about the meaning of the data and arrive at conclusions.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

 Level Working Knowledge:

• Identifies and documents specific problems and resolution alternatives.

• Examines a specific problem and understands the perspective of each involved stakeholder.

• Develops alternative techniques for assessing accuracy and relevance of information.

• Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution.

• Uses fact-finding techniques and diagnostic tools to identify problems.

Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

 Level Working Knowledge:

• Provides input for Gantt or PERT charts or their equivalent to track project progress and status.

• Under guidance, plans and estimates simple projects.

• Assists in detailed project plans including cost, schedule, and resource requirements.

• Obtains information from stakeholders during the planning stage of a project.

• Produces standard project status reports.

Supply Chain Management - MFG: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes.

 Level Working Knowledge:

• Discusses considerations for integrating partner and supplier transactions.

• Recognizes software systems or components used to manage supply chain.

• Summarizes supply chain considerations for different types of products or components.

• Participates in supply chain analysis and uses it to spot trends and improvement opportunities.

• Works with a specific part of supply chain management process.
