Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 4) to join our Proprietary Program team in Berkeley, Missouri.

This candidate will provide support to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers.

This candidate will develop statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements. Works with customers and management to obtain approval. Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules.

Leads project execution to complete the work statement. Identifies performance metrics. Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program. Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity. Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned. Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans. Works under minimal direction.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Program, Production Engineering team, and Operations, translating program goals into actionable project plans.
  • Develop, maintain, and track project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure timely delivery of program milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities within the Program team and with external partners to ensure execution of the created Internal Work Transfer (IWT) Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Identifies and maintains day-to-day oversight of cost, schedule, and performance metrics and reporting to leadership
  • Monitor project risks and issues, proactively identifying mitigation strategies and escalating as necessary.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports, briefings, and documentation to program leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support configuration management, change control processes, and compliance with Program requirements.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across technical and management teams to align project objectives.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of program documentation

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (a final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): 

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 

  • Experience in creation and execution of Statement of Work (SOW) documentation
  • Project Management of projects including Engineering definition, Quality requirements, and execution of complex assemblies to specification and on-time delivery
  • Composite Fabrication and/or Assembly of Aerospace components

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.
