Job Description:

The Contracts Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Procurement Center of Excellence’s contracting function and serves as the team lead for supervision and consultation to direct reports.  This role owns the development and ongoing maintenance of the department’s contracting workflow and processes as well as leading direct reports in understanding and managing the various contracts under their purview.  This person is responsible for partnering closely with the Legal Department in keeping contract templates relevant and updated for use by the Procurement Department and other business units.  The Contracts Manager will have a deep knowledge and understanding of various contract types and key business and legal terms included in RaceTrac’s contract portfolio.  This person is responsible for routine contract reviews to ensure compliance to SLAs and other agreed upon terms, as well as managing and developing key supplier relationships across the organization.  In addition, the Contracts Manager oversees pricing management for new store development.  Some travel may be required.

What You'll Do:

  • Leads efforts to negotiate and author contract renewals, amendments, addendums, terminations, and rebates

  • Maintains contract database, tracks key contract milestones, and provides reporting related to existing contracts

  • Meets with suppliers regularly and partners with stakeholders to find new ways to create value in existing contracts

  • Monitors compliance to pricing and service level agreements throughout the contract life-cycle

  • Leads supplier onboarding and minimizes risk and supply chain disruption during the implementation process

  • Serves as a point of escalation for stakeholders and suppliers when contractual issues arise and/or performance declines

  • Mitigates pricing updates and schedules changes for Operations, A&D, Construction and other key stakeholders through advanced negotiation skills

  • Partners with the Procurement Operations department leaders on key initiatives such as Supplier Diversity, supply chain risk mitigation, Supplier Relationship Management and other present and future department goals

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree from 4-year College or University

  • 4-6 years’ experience in contract management, procurement, and/or supply chain management

  • Deep understanding of contract terminology and contracting negotiation best practices

  • Expertise with eSourcing and/or Contracting platforms and Microsoft Office, specifically Word and PowerPoint
