Position Summary
You will lead medical affairs for a specialty therapeutic area in Colombia. You will translate global strategy into local medical plans. You will build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, scientific societies, and internal partners. Responsibilities
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
Lead the Specialty Medical Area at the local level, collaborating closely with cross-functional and global teams to provide scientific, clinical, and technical expertise, offering guidance and leadership on GSK products.
Own the external engagement strategy, driving and managing scientific and clinical exchanges with the medical and scientific community to enhance GSK’s external presence and reputation.
Develop and execute a local Medical Strategic Plan for specialty products, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and market needs.
Align with commercial strategic planning, ensuring seamless integration of medical objectives, while managing research budgets and leading the forecasting processes for assigned products and therapeutic areas.
Provide expert scientific and clinical leadership, offering in-depth knowledge of GSK products and relevant diseases to internal teams and above-country Medical Networks.
Foster and elevate scientific knowledge and expertise across the enterprise, ensuring a robust understanding of specialty science, therapeutic trends, and industry advancements.
Drive excellence in external engagement, cultivating strong, trusted partnerships with external medical and scientific stakeholders, ensuring timely, transparent, and responsive interactions to support collaborative, evidence-based decision-making.

Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals
- Advanced degree in medicine, pharmacy, or a life science (for example MD, PharmD, PhD).
- Proven track record of managing Specialty organization teams.
- Strong clinical or scientific knowledge relevant to specialty therapeutic areas.
- Excellent communication skills in Spanish and good command of English.
- Proven ability to engage and build relationships with external clinical experts and internal stakeholders.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and contributing to medical or evidence generation plans.
Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus
- Prior leadership experience managing medical or field-based teams.
- Experience with product launches and local implementation of global medical strategies.
- Familiarity with designing or overseeing real-world evidence and investigator-initiated studies.
- Understanding of the Colombian healthcare system and payer environment.
- Strong project management and budget planning skills.
- Experience with digital or omnichannel medical engagement approaches.

This position is based in Colombia and offered as a hybrid role, combining office and remote work. Regular travel across Colombia is expected. Occasional international travel may be required.
