We are seeking experienced Maintenance Foreperson for an LNG construction project in Squamish BC. You will be an integral part of the Ledcor team who prides themselves on safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating in accordance with quality, safety and efficiency standards.

.Essential Responsibilities

  • Forecast and coordinate and the required preventive maintenance of any on site project heavy equipment, as well as any unanticipated repairs
  • Schedule required equipment inspections
  • Assist in diagnosing faults or malfunctions and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems
  • Work collaboratively with Equipment Maintenance Supervision and project construction Teams
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes
  • Interpret work orders, technical manuals and write service reports
  • Organize the ordering of any required heavy equipment parts and consumables
  • Maintain working maintenance scheduling documents

Qualifications

  • Must be an Interprovincial Red Seal or Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
  • Must have experience maintaining and repairing Caterpillar, John Deere & Komatsu and various other pieces of construction equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and clear 3-year driver's abstract
  • CSTS-2020 and WHMIS 2015 is required

Work Conditions

  • Experienced applicants that reside in Squamish or surrounding areas will be given preference due to the location of this project
  • 14 days on / 7 days off rotational shift, 10 hour work days
  • Camp based accommodation provided
  • Travel allowance / flights provided from approved locations
  • Extended health benefits provided by CLAC
  • Hourly Wage $49.03 + Foreperson Premium
  • Weekly payment of wages

Compensation

$34.32 - $45.35

This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location.

Remote, site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.

Additional Information

Woodfibre Management Ltd, a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, is spearheading the Woodfibre LNG Project, a proposed Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) export facility currently in the pre-construction phase. Situated near Squamish, British Columbia, on the site of a former pulp mill, the project is a collaboration between Woodfibre LNG and Pacific Canbriam Energy, both subsidiaries of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited. Notably, the project has secured environmental approvals from the B.C. and Canadian governments, as well as from the Squamish Nation. This initiative, recognized as the first-ever environmental approval by an Indigenous people in the absence of a treaty, highlights Woodfibre's commitment to responsible and inclusive development. The facility aims to leverage low-emission Canadian natural gas, meeting high demand in countries transitioning from coal to natural gas for its environmental benefits. Through the use of renewable hydro-electricity, the project strives to become the world's lowest-emission LNG export facility.
