We are looking for a highly skilled Mainframe Application Programmer to join our team supporting core banking applications for one of North America's largest financial institutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, and EASYTRIEVE, and will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting mission-critical batch and online systems that power daily banking operations.

What you will be doing

• Design and develop Low-Level Designs (LLDs) for enhancements and new features in core banking systems.
• Write and maintain COBOL, CICS, and EASYTRIEVE programs to support business and operational requirements.
• Create and execute Unit Test Plans, validate results, and ensure quality of deliverables.
• Provide batch production support for core banking jobs, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Monitor and acknowledge incident tickets related to batch job failures and application errors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to minimize business impact.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, infrastructure, and business analysts to ensure seamless application performance.

What you bring

• Experience of 4 - 6 Years in Mainframe Developer
• Should have strong experience in Cobol, JCL VSAM and DB2

• Good to have experience in CICS
• Good to have experience in Systematics - ALS
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
