The purpose of this position is to ensure timely and high-quality database support to the end-user community.

This role helps to set the strategic direction for the database platforms.

What is in it for you:

Planning and executing on strategic database activities including on more complex issues:

  • Support in Installation, configuration and upgrading MongoDB software and products as per guidelines given.

  • Creating and sizing database storage structures and database objects

  • Planning for and actual backup and recovery of database information

  • Good hands-on experience on Database Administration, deep understanding of DBA ,Cloud ,ITIL concepts, best practices.

We will count on you to:

Daily operations responsibilities include handling and serving as the team member on the following items/activities:

  • Highly motivated self-starter.

  • Enterprise MongoDB Installation and also must have good hands on to configure Docker MongoDB Images on containers

  • Excellent MongoDB internals knowledge storage engines, concurrency, memory, journaling and checkpoints.

  • Troubleshooting performance issues profiler, indexes, and server status and host metrics.

  • Upgrades and maintenance of production and development environments.

  • MongoDB Security: Auditing, authorization and internal/external authentication methods available in MongoDB.

  • Strong Experience implementing multi-data center replica set and sharded clusters in Linux and windows environments.

  • Ops Manager: implementation, monitoring, backup and automation.

  • Able to export/import MongoDB data to different environments.

  • Knowledge in database migration tools.

  • Scripting skills in automate routine tasks log rotation, refreshes, grooming etc.

  • Must have knowledge of MongoDB Clustering and Sharding.

  • Experience with Mongo DB scaling across data centers.

  • Experience with NoSQL Data Modeling.

  • Skilled in monitoring and troubleshooting space issues.

  • Experience in Database and Application Patching

  • Ability to support user deployments in Dev/QA/Prod.

  • Expert in Mongo DB CRUD operations and automation scripting : shell scripting ,python

  • Troubleshooting database Alerts.

  • Work on Change Orders as per implementation plan.

What you need to have:

Qualifications:

  • 8 to 12 years of hands-on experience in MongoDB database administration

  • Proven expertise working on UNIX/Linux platforms , AWS ,Azure

  • Strong knowledge of MongoDB, MongoDB Atlas, Docker, Replication, Sharding, Ops Manager, and JSON

  • Familiarity with other SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle

Additional Skills :

  • Experience with cloud-based database solutions

  • Knowledge of automation and scripting for database management

  • Understanding of DevOps ,AI , security best practices for database environments
