Reports to: Senior Director, Operations Finance – Base & Balanced Markets 

Location: Singapore 

Job Summary: 

A successful Director, Operations Finance - Base & Balanced Markets is one who can support and drive a strong finance strategy and system relationship to drive growth and profitability. Country coverage includes: Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos 

 

Focus, Scope, & Impact: 

  • Based in Singapore, this people manager role will partner with local stakeholders across all functions and OU to manage all Franchise and/or local customer activities at the Franchise Unit level, to drive alignment across multiple stakeholders including Center, CPS, and Bottlers, and to develop the key insights needed to inform strategic priorities, including: 

  • Manage franchise (bottlers) and customer relationships at the local level 

  • Gain insights and brainstorm with customers/Bottlers on local business issues; Prepare & support internal stakeholders on on-going negotiations 

  • Rebate, Support and deduction alignment negotiations 

  • Drive a growth mindset in all business partners and bottlers 

  • Set spend objectives and requirements (joint planning with bottlers / customers) 

  • Manage financial negotiations with internal and external stakeholders 

  • Quantitative and qualitative local Bottler/Customer info 

  • Assess Financial implications and models on new Business opportunities and optimization of current value chains (use of third party, plant closure…) 

  • Conduct System NSR analysis and forecasting, develop and share insights. 

  • Manage DMI business plans and rolling estimates and lead month-end and year-end closing activities, and coordinate spend status reporting and monitoring  

  • Support Annual Business Plan and Long-Range Plan process and submissions 

  • Support Resource Allocation analysis and decisions as needed 

  • Track, model and estimate System Financials  

  • Develop and align Stakeholders on System Financials for Innovation projects 

  • Lead RE process and discussions in partnership with PCAI team 

  • Support delivery of financial targets and KPIs 

  • Support leveraging all Business Models and Margins within the Franchise, including: 

  • Strategic thinking on business models optimization and system top line growth  

  • Incidence Pricing and Value Sharing negotiations at Franchise level  

  • Drive insights into Margin optimization across the entire value chain and bring margins discipline to operational business decisions 

  • Leverage the network and execute locally Global margin strategy 

  • Analyze and Support Cash Management:  

  • Cash management optimization Analyses  

  • Support Optimization actions  

  • Interact with local stakeholders (I.e: CPS, Tax, LEC, franchise general Managers)   

  • Leadership Behaviors 

  • Promote a strong two-way feedback culture; one built on trust, transparency, collaboration and accountability 

  • Focus on outcomes using the right processes, metrics and data

Knowledge & Experience: 

  • >10 years of relevant experience in senior financial planning or senior commercial finance roles 

  • Experience with ability to work in a diverse cultural environment as a highly efficient communicator and influencer at all levels 

  • Professional qualification within Finance 

 

Work Focus: 

  • Provide holistic understanding of business performance inside the Franchise 

  • Execute end-to-end business planning inside the Franchise, working cross functionally inside the organization and coordinating with the Operational Finance Lead.  

  • Use a fact-based, analytic, strategic approach to collaborating across Franchise/Zone/OU  

  • Deliver core financial strategies, practices and solutions, to grow business profitability in a sustainable way 

 

Communication Focus: 

  • This role is responsible for partnering internally as well as externally to effectively drive financial outcomes, as well as to build alignment on key initiatives and metrics, with a focus on communication to: 

  • Franchise Directors / Managers  

  • Bottlers local management leadership (finance, commercial etc) 

  • Platform services local leadership team (recipient of planning, system economics, competitors’ data at Franchise level)  

  • OU finance leadership and teams (planning, resource allocation, customers and commercial fin ops) 

  • Other OU teams under network organization (Customer and Commercial Leadership, Stills, Marketing teams)  

  • Other Key Regional Stakeholders (customers, JVs, suppliers etc
