Job Profile Summary:

As an Inventory Control Supervisor, you will lead and oversee inventory control operations in a 3PL warehouse environment. Your role is critical in minimizing inventory discrepancies and supporting operational efficiency.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all products are properly accounted for and inventory levels are maintained with the highest degree of accuracy.

• Supervise inventory control staff, coordinate warehouse operations, and collaborate with management to develop and enforce inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Supervise daily inventory control activities including counting, recording, and verifying stock levels.
• Lead efforts to identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies and root cause issues.
• Ensure accurate and timely updates to inventory records in warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Schedule and oversee regular cycle counts and full inventory audits.
• Generate, analyze, and present reports on inventory levels, variances, and trends.
• Train, coach, and evaluate inventory control staff to ensure compliance with procedures and improve performance.
• Collaborate with warehouse leadership to align inventory practices with operational goals.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized inventory area in accordance with company standards.
• Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Management System.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• High school diploma
• 2-4+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics industry
• Supervisory or leadership experience
• Proficient with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software

Physical Requirements:

• Lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 pounds
• Remain in a stationary/seated position for an extended period.
• Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
• The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
