Job Purpose

The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support and coordination to physical security programs.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Greets incoming vendors, clients and guests and administers visitor management procedures for access control.

  • Answers incoming telephone calls and route appropriately.

  • Provides administrative support services to Corporate Security Management, including but not limited to:

    • Data entry related to incidents, and daily logs.

    • Creates and maintains Excel tracking spreadsheets as required for Corporate Security.

    • Supports the coordination of work schedules for guard force operations.

    • Schedules security support for vendors, contractors, meetings at Jackson, etc.

    • Coordinates and schedules regular (annual, monthly, etc.), equipment inventories, training, drills, and exercises for physical security and emergency preparedness / response for associates, ERT/IMT, security officers, third-party vendors, etc.

  • Supports Corporate Security Management with security badge processes, including taking photos, printing, and issuance to associates and provide guest badges.

  • Serves as an active contributing member of the security team and active participant with emergency evacuations.

  • Participates in the development and implementation of physical security, access control, and emergency preparedness/response policies and procedures.

  • Monitors video surveillance security equipment and provide access control to company properties.

  • Develops and maintains contact lists.

  • Maintains distribution lists.

  • Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.

  • Professional demeanor and the ability to effectively communicate in person and over the phone.

  • Working knowledge with case and incident management software, or ability to quickly become proficient.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs as well as the ability to learn Windows-based security software.

  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate multiple activities and follow up on projects with minimum supervision.

  • Ability to handle sensitive confidential information.

  • Must be detail oriented and focused on accuracy.

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.

  • 2+ years related experience in a customer service, security, administrative or project coordination role required.

  • Candidates must be able to comply with all local and state licensing regulations within 90 Days preferred.
