About this role
In this role you will be an instrumental part of the Strategic Finance Team. You will be helping to continue to lay the foundation within the finance team to set the company up for continued success. That includes – working with the teams to set up best in class processes & controls (documented too!), developing reporting, proactively uncovering business opportunities to help drive the strategic direction of Dr Bill and executing on projects.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Work with the Director, Strategic finance to drive all corporate planning activities, all reporting (compliance, monthly, board and investors) -  including owning the financial model to help create monthly forecasts and the annual operating plan
• Analyze operating and financial results as part of the monthly forecast process and ensure accurate and timely completion of all deliverables  (includes partnering with executives to prepare and analyze their month to month performance on revenue and expenses)
• Identify, track and manage key performance metrics across departments including finance, operations, customer success, engineering, sales & marketing, and product management
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to create frameworks, dashboards and ad-hoc analysis that drive operational decisions such as pricing, staffing and overall resourcing within the company
• Manage internal accounting and financial operations processes in partnership with RBCx accounting and finance teams
• Own and execute on ad-hoc projects to drive financial growth across the business
• Understand internal control design concepts to assess the effectiveness of controls and design new effective processes and controls for emerging and growing business activities – Revenue streams
• Proactively identify opportunities to continue to improve the business P&L
• Act like an owner to drive business results
• Potential to oversee customer invoicing and accounts receivables.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

• 5+ years of experience including some combination of accounting, corporate development, corporate FP&A, investment banking, private equity or venture capital experience
• Ability to work in dynamic environment and think like an owner
• Extensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience leading small teams and track record of being an excellent people manager
• Strong understanding of financial modeling, IFRS accounting principles, and financial reporting
• Excellent verbal and written skills and a keen attention to detail

Nice-to-have: 

• Masters Degree in Accounting or equivalent and CPA certification
• Software or technology experience and understanding of SaaS business operating frameworks
• Familiarity with medical billing
• Ability to leverage complex analytical tools and statistics to perform analysis
