As a Motion & Digital Brand Designer on our Brand Creative team, you'll create compelling motion and digital communications that are human, magical, supportive, and forward-thinking. Your work will enhance our global brand identity and support our community of buyers and sellers worldwide.
We are seeking a Brand Designer who is enthusiastic about digital design and motion graphics, comfortable with following creative direction, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. You are capable of working on multiple projects at once and are able to work quickly and efficiently.
Brand designers enlist their talent and craft to bring Etsy's unique positioning to life anywhere a customer meets us: in marketing channels, web, email, or native products and beyond. On the Brand Team, you’ll help our marketing and product teams build branded experiences that consider the entire journey across our web, email, and native products.
You’ll make decisions informed by research, brand positioning, and business objectives. Day to day, you’ll collaborate with partners across teams at Etsy to bring products and campaigns to life—making sure every last design detail is built for launch.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Associate Creative Director. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.
This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What does the day-to-day look like?
Work with Product and Marketing teams to concept creative campaigns that communicate complex topics simply and intuitively.
Partner with other subject areas within our Brand team (including Content, Brand Strategy, Art Direction, Creative Operations, Social, and Community) to align around design solutions that consistently innovate, delight customers, and exceed business objectives.
Resolve ambiguity to implement high-quality design work in a fast-paced environment.
See projects through the entire design process; from creative concept to iteration of design mockups, prototypes, finished design assets, and final production files.
Ensure design consistency and quality across an area of work by sharing progress regularly and providing thoughtful critique.
Contribute to the critical thinking of our Brand team by exploring unique production processes, approaches, methods, and solutions.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
3-5+ years of experience in advertising and design at agencies, studios, or in-house
A forward thinker that can anticipate questions, independently assess solutions, and think critically and creatively
Experience in creating compelling creative product marketing campaigns
Working knowledge of web design, app design, and digital product design principles
Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
Experienced in core design fundamentals including typography, composition, color theory, and brand guidelines
Experienced in motion graphics and animation as part of the creative process
Exercise proactive communication with partners and team members
Great attention to detail and consistency
Exercise stellar time-management skills
