Job Description

Peterson Cat has a need for an experienced Parts Salesperson at our Ukiah, CA location.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Provide “Customer First” experience via phone and walk in by understanding customer needs and exceeding their expectations.

• Make high value recommendations to customers relating to parts, through proactive selling.

• Leverage ‘marketing’ campaigns with all existing and prospective customers and upsell parts-related opportunities.

• Maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with established customers and develop new customers.

• Maintain a working knowledge of company products, services, and parts including their price value relationships.

• Actively participates as a ‘user’ of Five9 Call Center software.

• Actively participates in all team meetings.

• Supports customer activation goals with parts.cat.com

• Complete all necessary transaction documents in a timely and accurate manner.

• Follow up with customers on parts sourcing and the estimated ship dates and arrival of back ordered parts.

• Research, recommend, and provide pricing for parts to external customers, and internal customers as needed.

• Maintain current reference material as needed to supplement company information databases, for example, Peterson Information Folder.

• Communicate customer needs to the appropriate Machine Sales, Product Support and/or Inside Sales Representatives.

• Stay current on all assigned training materials.  Request additional training, as needed.

• Assist in other department activities as assigned by the supervisor.

• Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in parts or sales, preferably in a heavy industrial environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The pay range for this position is: $27.09 - $30.00 (Starting wage will depend on experience and education. We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base salary.)
