This position will dispatch aggregates, cement, flyash, and other raw materials in a timely manner. Provide effective intercompany service and dispatch support by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs, as well as fellow team members within the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
▶ Dispatch raw materials in a timely and efficient manner.
▶ Communicate with plant locations by phone, email, and other modes of communication.
▶ Communicate with drivers and third party trucking companies as needed.
▶ Data entry and data interpretation in spreadsheets and other dispatch systems.
▶ Solicit future orders from plant locations.
▶ Negotiate with plants on an acceptable delivery time and quantity.
▶ Address driver concerns in a timely manner and escalate to Materials Dispatch Manager as appropriate.
Qualifications:
▶ Knowledge of the Minneapolis/St. Paul and surrounding areas.
▶ Communicate in a positive and helpful manner within the company.
▶ Ability to read and understand online mapping programs .
▶ Ability to maintain a calm demeanor when handling stressful situations.
Education and/or Experience
▶ High School diploma.
▶ Three to five years related experience in dispatching, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
▶ Post-Secondary education preferred.
Language Skills:
▶ Read, write and speak English.
Mathematical Skills:
▶ Perform basic math, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Reasoning Ability:
▶ Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions.
▶ Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
▶ Apply basic computer skills for dispatching bulk materials trucks.

▶ Be able to go from phone call to phone call quickly and efficiently.
▶ Approximately 85% of the day is sitting and entering information into a computer.
▶ Overtime may be required as business dictates.

The expected pay range for this role will be $30-$35 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
