As a Line 1 Risk Manager supporting the Customer, Digital and Artificial Intelligence (CD&AI) Domain, you are integral as a trusted advisor for the business to effectively manage and optimise its risk and control environment. You achieve this through partnering with the business, risk, and compliance experts to deliver foundational risk services including profile management, control advice, issues and incident management, and risk governance.

Your role is part of the Customer, Digital and Artificial Intelligence (CD&AI) Line 1 Risk Centre of Excellence and will report into the Senior Manager.  
 

Your Impact:
  

This position supports the CD&AI team in all risk, control and compliance aspects of Line 1 Risk with a specific focus on supporting the Customer Engagement and Communications Crew. This crew is instrumental in delivering work to support compliance with the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). Key elements of the role include:

  • Change Management Risk: supporting the business in ensuring that changes are delivered safely. You will achieve this through the identification of change risks, management of business impacts, as well as supporting design and implementation of controls to ensure effective management of risks and compliance.
  • Business Profile Management: ensuring risks and obligations are identified, captured in the Business Profile and assessed in accordance with the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) Standard and Procedure and the Obligations Management Standard (OMS).
  • Controls: supporting the product team with development and assessment of controls to mitigate identified risks, including risks that arise from changes to systems, processes and operations.
  • Issue and Incident Management: overseeing and providing guidance to the team with regards to issues and incident management, including supporting root cause analysis identification, addressing control gaps or weaknesses, as well as completion of remedial actions where appropriate.
  • Risk Culture: drive a proactive risk culture through collaboration with business partners and Line 2 teams.
  • Data quality: ensure data quality in risk management system (RiskInSite) to support senior business leaders in effective governance, oversight and management of operational risks. 
     

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Demonstrated experience in operational risk, compliance and or audit.
  • Strong knowledge of risks, controls and compliance in a banking environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, analyse and reduce risks.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
  • Experience using a risk management system and interpreting risk data and metrics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across business units.
