How you will make an impact:

China Factories are the manufacturing business of Thermo Fisher, which offers all kinds of products that from different division and group.

Seeking a Senior Analyst who will be a part of China Factories finance team to support the delivery of our near and long-term financial objectives. The scope of responsibilities includes all FP&A planning, Costing, analysis & reporting to complete financial goals and initiatives to support a growing organization.

What you will do:

  • Partner with business / site leadership in driving business performance to meet short and long term objectives

  • Implement reporting, budgeting, forecasting activities in support of the business

  • Analyze financial and business performance against key business metrics and supervise pertinent financial highlights that will enable understanding of progress against strategic / business plan and budgets

  • Perform monthly closing activities including journal entries, accruals, inventory, reporting and analysis

  • Review and release BOM / Labor Rate /Overhead Rate in SAP system periodically to ensure the standard cost is reasonable and accurate

  • Review efficiency saving and leakage, drive PPI saving

  • Ensure compliance with China GAP, U.S. GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, company policy and standard operating procedure; recommends changes to strengthen control environment

  • Support internal and external audit requirements

  • Drive continuous improvement and use systems to increase controls and efficiencies

  • Drive factory growth: active involvement in key product transfer projects, build the connections with global division finance and act as a key member on transfer price determination, cost forecast, pricing, etc.

  • Prepare the MBR/QBR for China Manufacturing and facilitate the communication with global divisions

  • Listens proactively and collaborates across functional lines

Education

Required: An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or Accounting

Experience

Required: A minimum of 4-6 years of FP&A experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proficient user of Excel (i.e., financial models and analysis); experience with SAP ERP, PowerPoint, Power BI and digitalization tools

  • Working understanding of financial accounting standards and internal controls

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient English in written, spoken is desired
