Position Summary:

Natera is seeking a Manager, Prior Authorization Strategy & Policy Advocacy to lead a team responsible for monitoring payer policies, optimizing prior authorization (PA) processes, and ensuring seamless cross-functional communication. This role will oversee policy advocacy efforts, create job aids, and refine system configurations to enhance reimbursement efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis skills, experience with payer interactions, and expertise in tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, and Business Objects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team focused on advocacy for payer policies and prior authorization requirements.
  • Oversee the creation of job aids and system configurations to improve PA workflows and reimbursement outcomes.
  • Serve as the communication hub for PA-related functions across internal teams, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic goals.
  • Work closely with the strategy analyst to track policy changes, analyze current configurations, and develop data-driven strategies for optimization.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to assess PA trends, payer policies, and workflow efficiency, leveraging advanced Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, or Business Objects.
  • Collaborate with payers to address prior authorization requirements and streamline processes for improved claims reimbursement.
  • Drive process improvements through project management methodologies and data-backed insights.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, data analytics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience in prior authorization operations, payer policy analysis, and healthcare claims reimbursement.
  • Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Excel (advanced functions), PowerBI, and preferably Tableau or Business Objects.
  • Experience in project management and process optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and advocate for policy improvements.
  • Knowledge of payer requirements, reimbursement guidelines, and prior authorization workflows in the healthcare industry.
The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
