We are hiring a Fleet Supervisor in our Philadelphia market! Reporting to the Fleet Manager, you will oversee the Supply Chain location in the Philadelphia market. This role will require you to work on-site out of our Supply Chain airport location and travel locally. 

 

Responsibilities:

Upkeep/Maintenance/Repair of Vehicles 

  • Work within new and established Zipcar processes to manage the upkeep, maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of the area fleet. 

  • Negotiate and manage vendor service contracts to ensure vehicles are properly maintained, repaired, and cleaned to Zipcar's high standard. 

  • Analyze and determine when damaged vehicles should be repaired, to maintain car condition and resale value. 

  • Manage the process of in-fleeting and de-fleeting vehicles, including Zipcar branding preparation and installation of Zipcar's proprietary access system. 

  • Work within a budget while maintaining excellent fleet condition and minimizing vehicle downtime. 

 

Supervision of Fleet Staff and vendors 

  • Manage a staff of fleet operations personnel. 

  • Manage vendor performance on hundreds of weekly tasks to maximize vehicle condition and uptime and minimize costs. 

  • Analyze historical trends and current operating metrics to identify actionable insights. 

  • Oversee budgets, delivering operational activities within financial targets and identifying opportunities to reduce costs. 

  • Work with Business Units to support performance improvement decisions. 

  • Contribute to the preparation of Zipcar’s annual operating plan. 

  • Produce reports and visual representations of data for senior management. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Experience in managing staff, service contractors and other vendors. 

  • General knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair. 

  • Excellent negotiation skills. 

  • Excellent organizational skills. 

  • The ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals. 

  • Strong process orientation. 

  • Good financial and operational analytical skills. 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $63,000 to $65,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
