Medtronic is driving a functional transformation focused on improving business outcomes. A key strategic focus area is driving Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE), and Standard Operating Mechanisms.

Join our Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence as the Sr. Program Manager-Supply Planning IBP (Integrated Business Planning). This is a remote opportunity to work anywhere, but we prefer a location within commuting distance of a Medtronic site.

As the Sr. Program Manager -Supply Planning IBP at Medtronic, you will drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the IBP Global Supply Review and related processes within the organization. This critical strategic role will have high visibility as part of the overall Supply Chain evolution.

Supply planning is vital to business operations and a core component of IBP. It focuses on demand/supply gaps, inventory concerns, and future capacity constraints and identifies where decisions are needed to fund additional capacity.

As the Sr. Program Manager -Supply Planning IBP, you will:

  • Drive accountability of the IBP Global Supply Review standardized process

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of the IBP process across the enterprise

  • Single party responsible for alignment and agreement with COE IBP step owners for Portfolio Management, Demand, Finance, and Management Reviews.

  • Act as the key liaison between IBP Plan COE and Global Supply Chain Planning teams as part of the design and implementation program

  • Ensure alignment and process flows from/to Regional planning and functions; responsible for driving interconnected processes between global and regions.

  • Leverage Planning Systems (preferred Blue Yonder) to improve supply chain best practices to deliver MDT KPIs.

  • Manage short-term projects or detailed analyses (including the coordination of cross-functional teams) in support of IBP process

  • Lead or participate in process improvement projects with the objectives of improving Supply Chain performance.

  • Participate and support developing and materializing the company’s supply chain strategy

Must Have: Minimum Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant IBP experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant IBP experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience using Blue Yonder Supply Planning Systems and GSC Analytics

  • Prior experience in Global Supply Planning or Operations Leadership

  • Demonstrated results in developing and delivering on the supply chain strategy of backorder improvement, inventory optimization, and increased product availability.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor Planners at various levels

  • Demonstrated experience at various levels of the organization

  • Ability to understand key business concepts and communicate with business stakeholders

  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure, and to manage multiple priorities with competing demands

  • Strong analytical, data processing, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in process formulation, process improvement, and project management

  • Experience building relationships with key internal and external customers based on trust and confidence

  • Experience in data gathering, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs

  • Ability to translate business goals and metrics into business process outcomes and related business cases for specific projects

  • Knowledge of planning, finance, sales, and marketing functions

  • Ability to overcome ambiguity, imperfect data, and the limits of process definition to achieve exceptional and timely results

  • Medical Device or other regulated industry experience

  • Work experience in a large, matrixed organization structure

  • Experience developing and implementing change initiatives requiring collaboration and influence management skills

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$140,800.00 - $211,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
