The Opportunity at Komodo Health

As the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis at Komodo Health, you will play a crucial role in supporting part of the business during a time of significant growth and transformation. You will work with a dedicated FP&A team to enhance our planning, investment, and reporting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.

These are the essential job duties you will be responsible for…

  • Collaborate with functional leaders & teams (for example: Marketing, R&D, Commercial, G&A) teams to create a comprehensive budgeting and planning process that balances rigor with flexibility.
  • Guide the FP&A team in delivering detailed financial analysis and budget reporting that informs strategic prioritization and resource allocation within the business.
  • Support strategic initiatives, such as product launches and market expansions, by conducting financial analysis and providing actionable insights.
  • Work closely with Accounting and Investor Relations to ensure alignment and readiness for future funding opportunities.
  • Enhance your understanding of key performance indicators relevant to the business, translating insights into meaningful reporting.
  • Understand the sales function & it’s drivers in order to lead capacity planning.
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to have a thorough understanding of risks & opportunities within the business.
  • Analyze various data sets (headcount, expenses, etc.) to produce reports and dashboards that support decision-making.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the FP&A team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

What you bring to Komodo Health (required): 

  • 8+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, consulting or a related function
  • Experience leading or managing a team
  • Experience business partnering with the GTM function
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
  • Proven ability to build relationships and engage with senior leadership, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
  • A proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on prioritization and execution.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of distilling complex issues into actionable insights.
  • A hands-on, service-oriented approach to leadership, ready to contribute wherever needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CFA or CPA a plus)

Compensation at Komodo Health

The pay range for each job posting reflects a minimum and maximum range of pay that we reasonably expect to pay across all U.S. locations and may span more than one career level. We carefully consider multiple business-related factors when determining compensation, including job-related skills, work experience, geographic work location, relevant training and certifications, business needs and market demands.

The U.S. national starting annual base pay for this role is listed below. This position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses as determined in the Company’s sole discretion and in accordance with a written agreement or plan.

Where You’ll Work

Komodo Health has a hybrid work model; we recognize the power of choice and importance of flexibility for the well-being of both our company and our individual Dragons. Roles may be completely remote based anywhere in the country listed, remote but based in a specific region, or local (commuting distance) to one of our hubs in San Francisco, New York City, or Chicago with remote work options.
