Job Description

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees, maintaining compliance with local labor laws and company policies, and providing exceptional support to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.

You will report to Payroll Lead-AP

You will work in Onsite work mode based in our Chennai plant in Kancheepuram, India.

Your Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:

• Prepare and process all activities of payroll cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Validate each payroll outputs to ensure data accuracy

Compliance & Reporting:

• Complete the statutory reports and activities to comply with local tax regulations, labor laws, and company policies. (e.g., tax filings, social security contributions).
• Identify and report any compliance risk

Data Management:

• Safeguard private information responsibly and ethically.

Employee Support:

• Respond to payroll-related inquiries
• Resolve discrepancies promptly

Continuous Improvement:

• Assist in payroll audits and process improvements.
• Support implementation if any system upgrade or process change.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Science, Accounting /HR or related field.
• English is working language,
• At least one year experience in payroll or HR, good to have oversea payroll processing experience
• Familiar with Workday
• Must can use MS Windows and Office as working tech environment
• Must have strong skill in Excel, be able to use Power BI and Excel Macro is preferable

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Accept working time shift for any oversea payroll work allocation
• Local Language (Tamil).
• Skilled in preserving confidentiality and thriving in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments.
• Detail-driven professional with a talent for identifying solutions and optimizing processes.
• Good communication skills
