Job Description Summary

Lead Project Manager is responsible for delivering projects in the region, following financial and operational aspects: budget, technical & contractual scopes, resources & execution planning as well as safety, quality, risks & opportunities management to ensure the highest customer satisfaction & to secure projects Contribution Margin.
In this role, you will be responsible for executing projects in accordance with PMH standards, ensuring high efficiency, on‑time delivery, and achievement of financial objectives. You will also support the unit’s operational performance by providing accurate financial forecasts and managing key performance indicators, including Sales, Cash, and Margin.
Business scope includes portfolio of active projects (including Protection Relays, Monitoring & Diagnosis and Systems & Services) running in parallel.

Job Description

Main responsibilities

  • Manage project execution (from tender to warranty end, including delivery & commissioning activities)
  • Be the prime customer contact for the execution of the contract/project
  • Execute Projects in collaboration with Project Engineering departments (CCS, DCS, Service), Order Management, Contract management, Finance, Procurement & other support functions
  • Be accountable for On Time Delivery, Sales and cash-in realization (& accurate forecasting), project Operating Working Capital, Margins improvement & Customer satisfaction
  • Follow project management best practices (as per Project Management Handbook and specific Product line instructions), including specific focus on transfer review, project gates reviews, project closing phase
  • Monthly update on actions plan progress & Sales/cash forecasts
  • Preparation and presentation of project reviews
  • Contribute to Operation department development & South Europe region continuous improvement
  • Lead EHS/Safety actions and performance be fully compliant with GE rules and processes, ensure project teams (own and subcontracted) are properly trained and holders of required qualifications when required. Lead to EHS monitoring actions, perform HSV
  • Follow GE compliance Policies (‘The Spirit and The Letter’) and promote open reporting
  • Support Commercial team by return of experience, optimizing project costs & deliveries

Required qualifications

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Drive Technology or equivalent qualifications, complemented by solid business knowledge; experience in automation activities is highly desirable 
  • Experience in project management, with the ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate project teams; strong expertise in project controlling, reporting, and performance tracking 
  • Sound knowledge of Electricity Transmission, Distribution, and Industrial markets, including financial fundamentals 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong customer focus and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments 
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 30% 
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within a project based organizational structure 
  • Strong business acumen with an execution driven mindset; structured approach to processes, PM metrics, and teamwork 
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage milestones, and consistently deliver results 
  • Full professional fluency in English and Romanian; additional languages such as Spanish, French, Italian, and/or Portuguese are plus
