Role Description:

We are seeking a intern with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in relevant software for creating and analyzing simplified, one-dimensional models of systems, often using specialized software, to optimize performance and validate designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Model Development: Creating 1D simulations of systems (e.g., fluid dynamics, thermal management, mechanical systems). 
  • Simulation Analysis: Analyzing the behavior of these models to identify areas for improvement and optimization. 
  • Design Validation: Using simulations to validate designs before physical prototyping. 
  • Collaboration: Working with engineers to integrate simulation results into the design process. 
  • Software Proficiency: Gaining experience with industry-standard 1D simulation tools. 
  • Documentation: Contributing to the documentation of models and simulation results.

Basic Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret simulation results and translate them into actionable insights. 
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Identifying and resolving issues within the models and simulations. 
  • Communication Skills: Clearly conveying findings and recommendations to the engineering team. 
  • Collaboration Skills: Working effectively with diverse teams and contributing to a collaborative environment. 
  • Experience with 1D Simulation Tools: Familiarity with software like Simulink, GT-SUITE, Dymola/Modelica or AMESim. 
  • Background in Engineering: Typically pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering field. 
  • Numerical Methods and Programming: Knowledge of numerical methods and programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) can be beneficial.
