Freese and Nichols is currently searching for a dynamic Senior Transportation Project Manager in our Rogers, AR Office. This position offers a vast array of experience and exposure through serving as a senior project manager and design lead for our Arkansas transportation clients including ArDOT, county and municipal roadway clients.

This position would also include the opportunity to grow our business through client relationships and team development as Northwest Arkansas is a growing market.   • Project Management: client communication and reporting responsibilities, management of deadlines and project deliverables, project execution and quality management, agency coordination, scope and fee development along with project scheduling and tracking of activities

  • Leadership and Mentoring: Serving as the technical lead in organizing and executing a program of project designs across our transportation practice. Training younger staff in sound design practices.

  • Business Development: Assisting in pursuing future project opportunities, including events, conferences, and other networking activities 

  • Technical Expertise: Leading and managing the analysis, design, and preparation of plans, specifications, estimates and technical reports for our transportation clients

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • 8+ years of experience in roadway design with at least 3+ years of progressive project management experience

  • Arkansas Professional Engineering license (or the ability to become licensed in Arkansas within 6 months)

  • Strong technical skills in roadway and drainage design

  • Experience with MicroStation and Geopak/Open Roads

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Experience in working on or with the Arkansas Department of Transportation and understanding their design requirements

  • Traffic engineering experience, evaluation or design 

  • Client communication and reporting, management of deadlines and project deliverables, project execution and quality management, agency coordination, scope and fee development along with project scheduling and tracking of activities
