As a Senior Supply Chain Planner at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for orchestrating the supply chain to common objectives for the products assigned to you. Much of your time will be spent proactively managing supply fill rate (to demand and inventory) on your products through various analytics of our ERP tool and advanced planning systems. Based on your own findings or un-planned events, you will also be required to collaborate with internal `partners across the globe and lead the value chain to the objectives required on your product line.
You must have proficient skills related to data analysis and developing conclusions to complex problems. This will make you successful on the planning responsibilities. You must also have strong communication skills and leadership abilities as these will make you successful in resolving many of the problems you find to meet the defined objectives.
You will also be expected to develop an understanding of the value chain you plan for and other related processes. Examples of these areas are demand management, S&OP, silicon planning, inventory management, factory loading, manufacturing sites, logistics, fulfillment, and customer requirements.
This position will be based out of our Guadalajara, Mexico Office and work on location is required at least 4 days a week.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Publish internally supply response for customer demand, backlog, factory plan, material plan, die mix plan, and inventory replenishment strategy
Demonstrate global distributed team to have continuous attention to urgent action items
Position Supply/Inventory to predictably meet revenue plans
Communicate risks and opportunities of supply to rev planning teams
Understand demand/rev opportunities with no supply
Understand demand at risk and alternative scenarios
Provide qualitative inputs to demand management to optimize supply/demand balancing within constraints
Project supply accurately for reliable commitments to customer orders
Maintain supply fill rate metrics to demand for the full horizon
Provide qualitative inputs to replenishment strategies to achieve required delivery performance
Manage inventory to targets at specific locations
Manage wafer/die inventory health
Provide qualitative inputs to Si Planning on mix changes
Internal communication with relevant BUs for supply events
For supply critical issues or processes, propose alternatives to internal teams;
Manage supply risks and opportunities communications to the associated business processes
Education
Master’s Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
3+ years of relevant experience
Industrial Engineering or Operations Research
Engineering – Manufacturing
Operations / Supply Chain Management

Comfortable solving new problems in a fast-paced environment
Can adhere to specific weekly tasks and deadlines
