Reporting to the VP, Corporate Citizenship and Inclusion, the Executive Director, Inclusion is responsible for implementing the corporate inclusive culture values into a business plan and helping drive the strategies and tactics necessary to achieve company-wide goals. The individual in this role will work across a matrixed environment supporting our efforts through employee resource groups and business units to implement projects and initiatives to ensure RGA maintains a welcoming and inclusive workplace.


What you will do

  • Direct and manage implementation of complex short, medium, and long-term programs and projects across RGA to promote inclusive practices
  • Work with relevant internal groups (regional councils, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, HR Business Partners, etc.) to implement programs as related to overall strategy, which could include inclusive leadership programs or other training, employee resource groups (ERGs), department, office or country specific initiatives. Partner with Talent and Organizational Development to create and/or acquire training programs that integrate inclusive principles
  • Develop, implement, monitor and assess diversity and inclusion practices and policies to determine the extent to which they support the company’s goals
  • Advise and support Employee Resource Groups and manage the governance related to ERG activities in partnership with RDICs and local leaders
  • Perform research and benchmark best practices to develop, recommend, and execute creative strategies and programs that foster the company’s inclusive global culture.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align initiatives with business strategies focusing on the workforce, business impact, and community
  • Define and gather metrics for measuring the effectiveness of programs, projects and initiatives, and develop reports for leadership
  • Develop data-driven approaches to influence decision making practices and communication of company’s efforts
  • Collect and analyze statistical data to evaluate the company’s population in accordance with standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Report diversity statistics to executive team and public/government agencies as required


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent work experience required
  • 10+ Years HR or related professional experience required
  • 5+ Years managing inclusive workplace programs and teams required
  • Experience managing DEI projects, for example, diversity recruiting, employee professional development, leadership programs, retention practices, mentor/sponsor programs, educational training series, and/or especially employee resource groups required
  • Experience communicating with groups of all size and levels within an organization required
  • Experience managing complex initiatives and/or projects required
  • 7+ Years managing corporate inclusive, and culture programs preferred
  • Experience working in a multi-country or global environment with understanding of various country challenges and regulations related to diversity, equity and inclusion preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Exceptional project and change management skills required
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities required
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills, comfort with data to business challenges required
  • Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local equal employment opportunity laws and regulations required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization required
  • Excellent skills in preparing and presenting executive-level presentations and briefings required

Compensation Range:

$123,500.00 - $184,050.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
