This role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance.

Job Description:

The Canadian Loan Syndication Group is responsible for the execution of all corporate loan financings in which TD Securities is involved as a lead arranger and bookrunner.  This can be for investment grade and non-investment grade transactions across Canada.  The group acts as the key conduit both internally, with TD Securities' four Canadian offices, and externally, with issuers and investors during primary issuance.

Job Description

  • League Table submissions completed at closing including interaction with Bloomberg / Refinitiv, challenge when needed
  • League Table Credentials slide preparation and maintenance
  • Comparable transaction collection and database maintenance (standard & bridge deals-with deal team) Updating all comparables, communicating with teams to ensure all info is up-to-date and loan agreements, etc. are properly stored/archived
  • Canadian Bank market overview slide maintenance
  • Tombstone and case study preparation and library contact
  • Preparation and maintenance of Weekly Bank Report (The Weekly) and Syndication Pipeline Report
  • Become familiar with credit agreement / pricing / rating terminology to ensure reports / calculations / fees etc are accurate
  • Preparation / maintenance / completion of all client (deal) closing fee letters, back office fee emails/pay-out instruction
  • Work with team members on updating models / pitches / tombstones in power point etc
  • Preparation of team year end forecast (work with Finance)
  • Debt domain maintenance / back up for urgent or absence coverage

Job Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Applicants should be self-starters, well-organized, detail oriented, able to work under pressure and tight deadlines, and establish priorities with minimal supervision
  • Must be proactive and highly motivated with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Superior financial and analytical skills
  • Strong skills with Ms. Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Undergrad or post-grad education in finance or other relevant field to the industry
  • Related work experience desirable, but not required
