We are an automotive supplier, partner to all automakers worldwide. Since 2013 we have been developing in our Prague R&D Center advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for smarter cars. Valeo is a leading supplier of components and systems for the world's automakers. In our R&D (Research & Development) Center in Prague we develop Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for intelligent cars.

We are looking for a C++ Software Engineer to create brand-new system validation tools that will be used by thousands of engineers worldwide to test and validate components for major car companies.

This is a unique greenfield project, offering you the freedom to shape a new application from the ground up using modern C++20. You'll tackle a diverse range of challenges, from creating intuitive graphical user interfaces and processing complex data to communicating directly with cutting-edge automotive hardware.

YOUR CHALLENGES?

• Design, develop, and maintain a new, cross-platform (Windows & Linux) validation application in C++20

• Implement features across the full software stack, including GUI (Graphical User Interface), data processing, and hardware communication layers

• Collaborate with a team of experienced engineers to build a robust, scalable, and user-friendly tool

• Contribute your creativity and problem-solving skills to a high-impact project with global reach

LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU...

• Proficiency in modern C++ (C++17/C++20)

• Experience with CMake for managing build systems

• Professional working proficiency in English (B2 level or higher)

• A proactive and collaborative mindset, with a passion for writing clean, high-quality code

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with the Qt6 framework

• Experience in cross-platform development for Windows and Linux

• Scripting abilities in Python

• Knowledge of the automotive industry or its standards

• Familiarity with automotive protocols (e.g., CAN, Automotive Ethernet, FlexRay)

• Experience with image processing libraries or techniques
