Job Description
As our new Field Service Engineer, you will support customers across the Nordic region, delivering a full range of service activities — including installations, repairs, maintenance, validation, and technical support — for Unity Lab Services.
You will primarily work with our Trace Elemental Spectrometry and Chrome product lines. (ICP-OES, ICP-MS, IC, and HPLC)
This is a field-based position, supporting customers throughout the Nordic countries. Candidates can be based anywhere within Norway or Sweden, provided you live near an international airport.
As part of the dedicated TEA Chrom Service team, you will participate in delivering market-leading on-site services that consistently exceed our customers’ expectations.
Our Organisation
This position sits within our Instrument and Enterprise Services (IES) organization — a single source for integrated lab services, support, and supply management. Our customized service offerings are designed with flexibility and expertise to meet each customer’s unique business needs.
Whether providing maintenance for a single instrument or managing services across entire laboratories, we deliver tailored solutions that help our customers achieve their goals efficiently and effectively.
What Will You Do?
• Deliver professional fault finding, installation, preventive maintenance (PM), repair, and qualification services in a timely and customer oriented manner.
• Provide premier technical support.
• Actively promote service contracts and related products.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through clear communication, professionalism, and proactive problem-solving — bringing up critical issues swiftly when needed.
• Manage company assets effectively, including spare parts, tools, software, computer, phone, vehicle, and documentation.
• Coordinate your work schedule efficiently with internal scheduling teams for optimal service planning and dispatching.
• Submit timely and accurate reports, such as Field Service and Expense Reports.
• Collaborate with the Sales team to see opportunities, share customer insights, and support business growth.
Who We Are Looking For
• Educational background in Electronics, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with analytical instruments — gained as a Field Engineer, Application Specialist, Scientist, or Laboratory Technician.
• Working knowledge of ICP, ICP-MS, IC, or HPLC techniques is advantageous, but not essential.
• Proficient in English; additional Nordic languages are a plus.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Customer focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently with strong organizational abilities.
• Willing and able to travel regularly across the region (typically 4–5 days per week), including some overnight stays and extended trips for training — up to 50% travel annually.
What’s in It for You
• Outstanding opportunities for career development within a global, industry-leading organization.
• Comprehensive training and mentoring to support your technical and professional growth.
• Competitive salary and performance bonus, along with a full benefits package.
• Company car provided.
