Job Description Summary:

PayPal seeks an exceptional product leader for our Authentication Flows team. We are creating a world where ‘payments’ and ‘identity’ are synonymous with PayPal. The Identity Platform is a suite of services and experiences, used by internal and external developers to authenticate customers to enable payments anytime, anywhere and anyway. The Identity Platform processes billions of requests each month and enables PayPal and its partners to rapidly innovate on new payment scenarios and enable new experiences. Therefore, the evolution of the Identity Platform is integral to PayPal’s long-term strategy.

Meet the team

This team cuts through the complexity of technical, regulatory and security constraints to deliver simple, seamless and consistent authentication experiences for all users across the world. We ensure our users have secure but easy access to their PayPal accounts and transactions regardless of the type of device, connectivity, geographic location or any other factor.

Your way to impact 

As the PM on the Authentication team, you will be responsible for optimizing the login user experience across all PayPal surfaces. 
 

Your day to day 

In this role, you will:  

  • Have experience building high-growth B2C or consumer products.  Whilst deeply technical, authentication is a very human interaction, and you will have a feel for humanizing software experiences. 
  • Build a robust strategy, developed in partnership with other key product managers, on how we scale secure identity solutions across geographies, devices, and operating systems with the goal of delivering simple, consistent, and secure experiences for consumers and merchants. 
  • Have advanced problem-solving skills to build elegant solutions to thorny problems due to the complexity of the technical and regulatory environment in which our products are deployed. 
  • Be able to bring people around a shared vision and drive execution across teams by influence and inspiration. 

   

What You Need to Bring

  • At least 3-5 years' experience building consumer or B2C software 
  • Prior experience building Identity or Authentication products
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-63, FTC and EU SCA/PSD2 guidelines on Authentication
  • Direct prior experience in eCommerce, FinTech, and banking ecosystem a major plus 
  • Proven track record for building, launching, and maintaining high-scale, successful products 
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong business and technical acumen. Can balance technical and business concerns when making product decisions. 
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, influencing and decision-making skills and high attention to detail. 
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and a highly matrix organization to achieve outcomes

$96900 to $234300
