Description

As a Global 7500 Instructor Pilot at CAE, you will play a key role in developing confident, highly skilled pilots through world‑class simulator and ground school instruction. You will lead clients through training using CAE‑approved curriculum, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and maintaining exceptional customer service.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in accordance with regulatory standards, CAE curriculum, and customer requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) guiding clients through all phases of their training.
  • Provide simulator, flight, and classroom instruction for licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
  • Conduct thorough, professional pre‑ and post‑flight simulator briefings.
  • Complete required administrative tasks, including training records, remedial training recommendations, and monitoring instructor qualifications.
  • Support curriculum and courseware development as an SME when required.
  • After approximately 1.5+ years, and based on business needs, qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.
  • Participate in training programs that may include international travel and extended stays.
  • Uphold a professional, welcoming learning environment and tailor training to diverse customers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with CAE and FAA requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or state‑issued equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • 2–5 years of job‑relevant experience.
  • Previous teaching or training experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Must be authorized to live/work in the United States.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet‑based programs.
  • Ability to participate in CAE’s DOT Anti‑Drug & Alcohol testing program.
  • Hold or have held a professional pilot license.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including:
    • Constantly ascending/descending stairs, ladders, ramps, or similar.
    • Occasional movement in confined spaces.
    • Remaining seated or standing for prolonged periods.
    • Occasional movement to accomplish tasks.
    • Occasional lifting or adjusting objects up to 20 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing instructor qualification or type rating.
  • FAR Part 135 experience.
  • 3,000+ hours of total flight time.
  • Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with at least one unrestricted PIC type rating.
  • Experience on Global 7500 or other relevant business aircraft.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver “red carpet” customer service.
  • Ability to tailor training to diverse customer needs.
  • Keen attention to detail and strong record‑keeping skills.
