Role Description

This role serves as the ServiceNow IRM/TPRM Solution Architect and Platform Administrator, responsible for defining scalable architecture, governing platform standards, and delivering technical solutions aligned with enterprise risk management objectives.

The position will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM) and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) modules to support the full vendor and system risk lifecycle — from onboarding and assessments through continuous monitoring and remediation.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in ServiceNow architecture, development, governance, and integrations, while partnering with risk, security, compliance, procurement, and enterprise architecture stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Technical Design

  • Serve as the ServiceNow IRM/TPRM Solution Architect, defining scalable architecture, data models, integration patterns, and technical design standards aligned with enterprise risk management strategy
  • Define architectural standards for:
    • Risk data structures
    • Vendor tiering frameworks
    • Risk scoring methodologies
    • Control libraries and policy mappings
  • Lead technical design reviews and ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices
  • Provide governance over customizations, integrations, and platform extensions

Platform Administration & Governance

  • Act as the ServiceNow Platform Administrator, managing:
    • Instance configuration
    • Upgrades and patching
    • Role-based access controls
    • Governance policies
    • Platform performance and health
  • Establish and enforce:
    • Security controls
    • Data integrity standards
    • Change management processes
    • Platform governance frameworks

IRM & TPRM Implementation

  • Design, configure, and implement ServiceNow IRM and TPRM modules
  • Build and customize:
    • Vendor and system risk workflows
    • Questionnaires and Smart Assessments
    • Risk scoring models
    • Compliance and control testing frameworks
  • Support the full third-party risk lifecycle including:
    • Vendor onboarding
    • Tiering and inherent risk assessment
    • Control validation
    • Continuous monitoring
    • Issue remediation

Development & Automation

  • Develop and enhance:
    • Management Workspaces
    • Service Portal
    • UI Builder components
  • Automate and streamline processes using:
    • Flow Designer
    • Business Rules
    • Script Includes
    • Client Scripts
    • UI Policies
    • Record Producers
    • IntegrationHub
    • Glide APIs
  • Deliver scalable, reusable development patterns aligned with enterprise standards

Integrations & Data Strategy

  • Design and manage integrations with:
    • Security tools
    • ERP systems
    • Procurement platforms
    • CMDB
    • External risk intelligence sources
  • Enable end-to-end risk visibility across vendor, system, and control domains
  • Ensure consistency of risk data models across enterprise systems

Reporting & Risk Visibility

  • Create dashboards, reports, and KPIs providing visibility into:
    • Enterprise risk posture
    • Vendor risk exposure
    • Control effectiveness
    • Remediation progress
  • Support executive and audit-ready reporting requirements

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

  • Partner with IRM, GRC, security, compliance, procurement, and enterprise architecture teams
  • Align technical implementations with regulatory frameworks and enterprise risk strategy
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to developers and administrators
  • Drive continuous improvement of the ServiceNow platform

Basic Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6–8 years of experience
    OR
    Master’s degree with 4–6 years of experience
    OR
    Diploma with 9+ years of relevant experience

Functional Skills

Must-Have Skills

  • 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
  • Full-cycle implementation experience in ServiceNow IRM and TPRM modules
  • Strong understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks
  • Expertise in:
  • Flow Designer
  • Business Rules
  • Script Includes
  • IntegrationHub
  • Glide APIs
  • UI Builder & Workspaces
  • Experience designing scalable data models and risk architectures
  • Strong knowledge of platform governance and security best practices

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Exposure to cloud security and risk tools
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (SOX, ISO, NIST, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or GxP-regulated environments
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies

Professional Certifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) (Preferred).
  • Certified Implementation Specialist – Third-party Risk Management (CIS-TPRM) (Preferred).
  • Certified Implementation Specialist – Risk and Compliance (CIS-RC) (Preferred).

If certifications are not already held, the candidate must be willing and able to obtain relevant ServiceNow certifications within 6 months of joining.
