About the job

This position is needed to help grow Twilio's Voice Recordings product. 

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Own developer interfaces for creation and management of recordings via API and our TwiML markup language.
  • Drive the roadmap for Voice recordings and storage products.
  • Grow and iterate Twilio's recording products to include capabilities like high definition and multichannel recordings and compositions.
  • Develop new pricing and packaging to ensure Twilio's recordings and storage products remain competitive and valuable to customers in a rapidly shifting marketplace.
  • Define new products focused on compliant recording storage for financial services, healthcare, and other highly regulated industries.

Required:

  • Education in a technical field such as engineering, computer science, mathematics, data science or similar. 
  • Experience writing requirements for a software feature or solution for an internal or external customers. 
  • Demonstrated experience working with big data sets and using tools such as writing SQL queries, sheets, or similar.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and UI/UX design understanding and will roll up sleeves to get the job done.
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently.

Desired:

  • Experience independently testing hypotheses and quantifying expected impact by querying internal data sets.
  • Experience or Interest in understanding distributed systems (cloud-scale) architectures.
  • Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM development process with globally-distributed teams and customers.
  • Experience working with direct sales, marketing, and defining pricing/packaging.

Location

This role will be remote, but is not eligible to be hired in San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, San Jose, CA, or the surrounding areas.

Travel

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado or Washington D.C.: $123,520.00 - $154,400.00.
  • Based in New York, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $130,720.00 (Developing Minimum for Tier 2) - $163,400.00.
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $145,280.00 - $181,600.00.
  • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
