C.H. Robinson is seeking a Senior Sales Executive to join our Global Forwarding division. In this pivotal role, you will be a driving force in expanding our Global Forwarding (International Air, Ocean & Rail) services by securing new, profitable, and sustainable customers. Your responsibilities include revenue generation, conducting face-to-face sales meetings, presenting supply chain improvement recommendations, and closing deals. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage customer interactions & foster relationships to secure core and strategic customer opportunities
  • with leadership to address customers; business challenges and supply chain goals utilizing forecasting, business planning, and pipeline development
  • market factors that may impact a customer’s supply chain, while delivering persuasive cases for change and developing tailored solutions to support their business strategy
  • sales activities, utilizing a CRM for prospect identification, calls, and tracking, to consistently meet or exceed daily, monthly, or annual expectations
  • Plan and conduct face-to-face visits with current and new prospective customers within the assigned territory 3-to-4 days per week, while building and delivering tailored proposals for each customer presentation based on their needs
  • Influence customers to leverage automation and enhance process efficiency from day one of implementation, utilizing customer-facing technology to ensure a seamless match between technology and customer needs
  • Collaborate with internal partners to develop customer pricing strategies, coordinate quotes, and negotiate suitable payment terms
  • Partner with Account Management teams to create and execute an implementation plan to effectively transition relationship management duties, assisting in the development of any SOPs required to manage the customers’ business effectively
  • Maintain a robust commercial presence in the local marketplace, actively participating or presenting at regional events, and attending training sessions to enhance relevant knowledge and skills

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 4 years of operations experience from a freight forwarder or outside sales experience
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territory, minimum 3-4 days per week
  • Fluent in English

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Advanced knowledge of logistical concepts and supply chain terminology
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong ability to persuade, motivate, and influence others
  • Self-driven, results-orientated individual with a positive outlook and clear focus on high quality and business profitability
  • Keen sense for business development with a clear “hunter” mentality
  • Develop and maintain strong inter-company relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
