Job Summary

As the Lead Service Associate you will provide direction and assistance in the completion of daily operational and merchandising responsibilities. You lead the team to provide excellent customer service, ensure deliveries are put away in a timely manner, and ensure all operations in the store are completed efficiently and per Brand Standards. You lead a culture that teaches and coaches our associates to be helpful and friendly so that we meet all our customer’s needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide superior customer service by assisting customers with their shopping needs handling all customer transactions in a timely and courteous manner, and responding to customer complaints/concerns with a sense of urgency to see to their resolution.
  • Attend to merchandising of plan-o-grams, maintaining label accuracy, and ad set-up as directed by the Store Manager and/or the Assistant Store Manager.
  • Control inventory by performing proper receiving and stocking including accurate cycle counting, processing merchandise transfers according to procedures, practicing shrink awareness, and reporting inventory problems to the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager.
  • Assist with onboarding retail associates through New Hire Orientation Program, train new retail staff, and monitor eLearning compliance of team.
  • Assist with the general maintenance and appearance of the store by ensuring a safe and pleasing environment for both customers and associates.
  • Ensure store inventory is regularly inspected in accordance with the Product Freshness Review Schedule and all outdated product is removed from sales floor and processed through established returns process.
  • Accountable for store cash and other financial assets, reconciling cash register drawers, preparing deposits, and ordering changes from the bank as directed by the Store Manager and/or the Assistant Store Manager.
  • Manage tasks and supervise store associates in those limited circumstances when the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager is unavailable.
  • Ensure check stand area is customer ready and store is fully stocked with necessary supplies and monitor store supply levels.
  • Monitor company communications through a variety of sources and ensure messages are communicated to entire store team through use of daily huddles.

1 year of experience in retail, food service, restaurant or customer service
