Radiation OncologyKey Roles and Responsibilities:
Design and build a LGAD dosimetry prototype.
Determine if the LGAD prototype can provide accurate pulse-resolved dosimetry.
Conduct numerical simulations to optimize detector and readout electronics.
Characterize clinical FLASH beam properties.
Assist in the development and preparation of grant applications and manuscripts.
Work effectively as part of the research team and mentor other junior members on the team.
Perform other duties assigned by PI and faculty mentor.
Required Qualifications:
Education: PhD in physics/engineering
Work Experience:
1 year of related work experience, including presenting research results and drafting manuscripts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Work Experience: 2 years of related work experience, including working independently and as part of a research team.
Skills:
Strong communication skills as evidenced by application materials.

Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
