Job Summary

We have an exciting role open within Caterpillar’s Global Finance Strategy Division for a Senior Digital Product Owner. You will support a global Finance transformation team based in the USA and India with responsibilities for Global Finance related to data platform and analytics business solutions. This is a great opportunity to support the extensive growth and impact of our Global Finance digital solutions.

What You Will Do:

  • Product Vision and Roadmap: Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
  • Backlog Management: Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that the most valuable features are developed first.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bridge between stakeholders and the development team, gathering and interpreting requirements.
  • User-Centered Design: Implement user-centered design methodologies to enhance user satisfaction and product usability.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use analytics to inform product decisions and improvements.
  • Agile Practices: Work within agile frameworks, facilitating smooth and efficient development cycles.
  • Project Planning: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives.
  • Execution & Monitoring: Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving issues to ensure smooth execution.
  • Team Leadership:  Champion and support a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Resolve conflicts and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Process Improvement: Deliver lean projects to further improve the efficiency of Global Finance program management reporting processes by utilizing digital tools.

What You Have:

  • Business Analysis: Knowledge of Finance and Accounting domain to perform business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.
  • Software Change Request Management: Knowledge of software change request management; ability to manage software product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff.
  • Software Product Business Knowledge: Knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; understanding install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Knowledge of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques; ability to design, implement and evaluate acceptance tests for end-user

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or master’s degree in information systems, STEM, Finance or similar related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in software with at least 3 years in requirement gathering
  • Collaboration experience with Data Product, Architecture, Data Science, and Engineering teams in both USA and Offshore environment
  • Extensive hands-on experience in SQL to analyze and interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights that support business decisions.
