SUMMARY

The SVP of Product Management at MasterControl is a key leadership role responsible for defining and executing the product strategy and roadmap to drive the growth and success of our product portfolio. The successful candidate will lead a high-performing product management team, collaborate closely with cross-functional departments, and ensure that our products meet the needs of our customers and align with the company's strategic goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with MasterControl's overall business objectives and market trends.
  • Lead the product management team in setting priorities, making trade-offs, and driving the execution of the product roadmap.

Product Development and Innovation:

  • Identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in the product portfolio to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and other departments to ensure successful product development and delivery.

Customer Focus and Market Insight:

  • Conduct market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis to gather insights and drive informed product decisions.
  • Advocate for customer needs and feedback, ensuring that the product strategy reflects a deep understanding of the target market and user requirements.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing product management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Set clear goals and performance metrics for the team, providing regular feedback and support for professional growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with sales, marketing, customer success, and other teams to ensure alignment and effective go-to-market strategies.
  • Act as a key spokesperson for the product vision and strategy, both internally and externally.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the product budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with company financial goals.
  • Analyze and report on product performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize product success.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of success in senior leadership roles within a B2B SaaS or technology company.
  • Deep understanding of the life sciences industry, including regulatory requirements and market dynamics, is highly desirable.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $250,000 - $300,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
