Hitachi Energy Transformers Business Solutions IT Organization is seeking a Digital Transformation Specialist who will drive strategic digital initiatives in the area of quality.
As Digital Transformation Specialist you will lead the high-impact portfolio, bridge technology and business need, and deliver tangible results.
You are accountable for developing, implementing and executing the IT capability within that practice area to plan and build IT solutions resulting from Business of Functions.
You will work in a multinational team dealing with one or more projects/programs and act as single point of contact (SPOC) towards IT Technology and the business for these transformational projects/programs. You are responsible for interaction with functional/business unit leadership to monitor and execute the projects/ programs.
This role is to support the Quality process in our manufacturing operations. Our shopfloor digital strategy includes a suite of applications for production execution, machine monitoring and testing of finished transformers to ensure quality. This role will support the overall manufacturing digital program and focus on the delivery of quality solutions for the transformer manufacturing network.
Your Responsibilities
Cultivate Digital Culture: Identify and lead strategic initiatives across the digital ecosystem to foster a robust digital culture within the organization
Develop and Manage Digital Portfolio: Oversee a high-impact digital portfolio for the respective Business Unit/Function, prioritize projects, and track progress towards achieving strategic goal
Implement Initiatives Successfully: Ensure timely delivery of projects, spearhead successful implementation, and drive tangible business value
Translate Technology to Business Value: Simplify complex technologies into clear business benefits, securing buy-in from key business stakeholders
Execute Strategy: Implement the given strategy effectively and efficiently
Guide Organizational Development: Lead strategic organizational development to align with digital transformation goals
Ensure Proper Project Organization: Ensure projects and programs are well-organized, staffed, and adequately skilled
Collaborate with Factory Network: Work with the transformer factory network to define standard shopfloor quality tools and digital frameworks
Meet Quality Requirements in Application Deployment: Collaborate with application deployment teams to ensure quality requirements are met in any new application deployment
Develop Training Materials: Assist in creating training materials to ensure effective and ongoing use of applications and supporting tools
Address Priority Challenges: Collaborate with factory leads to understand their highest priority challenges and work with central support teams to resolve issues
Enhance System Usability: Identify potential enhancements to improve system usability and develop functional requirements documentation to communicate business needs to the development team
Your Background
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or 10 Years related work experience in Digital Transformation
10+ years profound experience in IT technology
5+ years of experience in large global corporation
10+ years in managing third party providers on global scale
Experience and ability to work with virtual delivery teams as well as distributed stakeholders
Experience with Engineering, Quality or Operations in a Manufacturing environment
Experience on an enterprise reporting tool
SAP S/4HANA experience
