Project Role : Infra Tech Support Practitioner
Project Role Description : Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes). Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands. Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting.

Must have skills: Red Hat Linux & Lifecycle Management Good to have skills: Project management Years of experience: Relevant experience 8-10 years, total experience more than 10 years Roles & Responsibilities: • Plan and execute the deployment of new Linux servers. • Configure servers according to best practices and security standards. • Install and configure necessary software and applications. • Develop and maintain a patch management strategy. • Test and deploy security patches and updates. • Manage patch schedules and ensure timely application of patches. • Implement and enforce security policies and procedures. • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. • Respond to security threats and incidents. • Monitor system performance and identify bottlenecks. • Tune system parameters to optimize performance. • Implement performance improvement strategies. • Implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents. • Strong knowledge in technical aspects of Linux System Administration and best practices. • Experience on shell scripting and Python scripting & working experience in configuration management tools like ansible & puppet. • Hands-on experience Satellite, Capsule and Redhat portal for patch management. • Good understanding with systems security implementation and vulnerability management. • Strong Knowledge of Networking, Routing, Storage Backup, SAN & NAS • Managing & troubleshooting experience with complex cluster environment (Pacemaker/Veritas) • Strong knowledge on Virtualization Vmware/RHEV/KVM, VRA • Working experience of administering, using VxRail environment & managing storage allocations and disk expansion. • Creating and managing comprehensive disaster recovery plans. • Liaising with the customer technical representatives. Interact with customer and speak on technical issues. • Requirement gathering, analyzing and preparing solution. • Strong knowledge in the ITIL process such as Change Management and Problem management • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Linux environments with other enterprise systems and platforms. • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills • Willingness to work in a 24 * 7 Environment on rotational shifts • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Document administration processes/procedures to ensure optimal levels of support.
